These beauty's will grow into the most luscious figs I have ever tasted, I know, I had some from the same tree last year.
I am not sure what the variety of fig is - though I'd love to know - but this is not my biggest concern. The problem is... I don't own the tree and they are only marginally 'over' the fence - if I stretch my arm right out.
The stake out is on.
Updates to come...
Jack
that's very, very cheeky of you.
ReplyDeletegood luck.
I've been known to do the same thing but with lemons. Good luck Jack ;)
ReplyDeleteI feel for your dilemma! Ever thoght about offering something in return, like your cherry brandy for instance? Not as exciting as your method though.
ReplyDeleteI used to go for midnight walks around Richmond and pick figs. I love them so much! One old greek guy caught me doing it once though - he was in the tree! I somehow didnt see him and ever since I have a little bit of the fear every time I want to steal fruit...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support. The funny thing is, that the tree belongs to some elderly neighbours and if I mentioned it they would give them to me, but the possums get more than the two that I stalked last year so I don't feel so bad.
